Worldwide Wind Power Installed Capacity Will Reach 200 GW in 2010

According to statistics of GWEC, in 2010, wind power generation increases 40GW and the worldwide wind power generation is expected to reach 200GW at the end of 2010.

GWEC predicts that American wind power will decrease in 2010 affected by the financial crisis, yet on the other hand China develops fast, compensating America’s deficiency of power generation. European market remains stable.

Looking into the next five years of wind power generation market, GWEC predicts that the world wind power generation will double in 2010 to 2014, reaching 400 GW. China and Europe will lead the growth. Other countries are also committed to increasing wind power generation.
