Four Ways of Controlling the General Inverter

Four Ways of Controlling the General Inverter

General inverters are the inverters with good compatibility and it can be applied to many equipments. It doesn’t mean that the general inverter can be applied to any machine; it only means that it can be applied to a bigger range comparing with inverters for special needs. Those special inverters are appied to specific machines and they will be made the best when doing so.

Here are some characteristic of contolling general inverters:

1.    Voltage/frequency, torque boost, etc. You don’t have to worry about those parameters as they are preset by the manufacturer before sending to customers. They can aslo be set by yourself. For the sake of our maintenance men, please make sure that those parameters are set within the allowed range.

2.    The braking torque ratio of inverters. Such as the ratio under 31% when the power is less than 34kw; the ratio above 26% when the power is more than 21kw. If you use the brake unit or brake resistor, the power of brake resistor will reach 100%.

3.    The controlling way of operating a general inverter. Two ways of contorlling the output of inverters can be voltage or frequency control. Including v/f control; slip frequency control, vector control, direct control, etc. Most of the products used to be v/f control, while lots of products with vector control have showed up.

4.    The controlling of frequency. There are two ways, they are setting the external signal and keyboard setting. There is nothing to be said about keyboard setting. While you can use the following ways of external setting: 0-5v voltage controlling, communication interface controlling and 4-20ma current controlling. You can make the choice according to your very own needs.

There are four features of controlling the general inverters. The control of inverter operating is relative practical. The feature of braking torque is harder to understand. Knowing these features is quite helpful for choosing the right general inverters.
