Common Defaults and Problems of Inverter’s Control Cabinet

 

1.   If there is a mechine fault when the inverter starts to the frequency of 5-10HZ. There might be something in the water pump impeller. This usually happens to new installed pump; as there might be sediment entering while installing the sinking pump.

Solution: Start-up with power frequency for 2-5 minutes, and the change to frequency conversion operating.

2.   Common launch failure:

1)   Input power phase shortage or fuse damage in cabinet.

2)   Check if the contactor coil is burned out. The way of checking that is to remove the coil and connect two wires to the coil, charged with the power of 220V to see if the suction or close works. The solution of this is to change a new coil.

3.   The inverter’s set pressure is different from the numbers on the transmitting pressure meter. According to our clients, it’s subject to the numbers on the actual transmitting pressure meter or the actual pressure. If clients raised any questions about this, please explain that the error is caused by the signal attenuation. (including the length of the signal line, the electromagnetic interference and so on)

4.   After operationg with the frequency of 50HZ for a long time, the pressure meter is not working anymore. It might be caused by 1) the wire break of the pressure meter; 2) the change of pressure meter’s parameters conducted by our client. In this case, we should ask our technology department for help.

5.   If the inverter shows the number of zero and the water pump won’t work, you should 1) check if the pressure value showed on the pressure meter is higher than the inverter’s set pressure value, (you should also check if the coil of the pressure meter is freezed when it’s winter) if so, you should change the damaged pressure meter; 2) check if the contactor is absorbing and closing normally; 3) check if there is a inverter default, if so ,shut down the power and restart it again.

6.   Inverter internal fault, please check the common defaults and problems of the pressure tank and control canbinet:

6.1        The continuous starting of the pressure tank:

1)   It might be because the adjusting range of the ceiling and floor pressure value is way too small. If so, changing to a larger range will work.

2)   There is no room for air pressure, because the water in the pressure tank will be too much when there is an air leakage. If so, we should realse all the water in the tank, find out the leaking place and make sure there will be no leakage anymore.  As for the method of finding the leaking place, it would be a good idea to make some suds using soap or detergent. You can rub the suds to the possible leaking places, where there is bubble, there is leakage.

6.2        The starting failure of the control cabinet:

1)   Check if the switch in cabinet is on position;

2)   Check if the inout power is charged;

3)   Check if the wire connecting of the control cabinet and electric contact pressure meter is correct;

6.3        The automatic stopping of the control cabinet:

1)   Check if there is a quality problem with the control cabinet. Remove those 3 signal wires contacted with the pressure meter first. Then close the switch, the motor might or might not be working at this moment. The pump would certainly work after the middle and low terminals are short-circuited. After that, we can remove the connection and short circuit the middle and high terminals, the pump stop working. You should note that there will be a time delay of 3-5 seconds while turning on/off the machine. If there is a problem doing the procedures mentioned above, there must be a quality problem with the control cabinet. The solution would be changing it.

2)   Check the connecting wire of the electric-contact pressure gauge and the oxidation of the pointer to see if there is a connecting problem in the pressure meter.

6.4        Adjusting the electric-contact pressure gauge

1)   Pressure adjusting: There is a black knob in the middle of the pressure meter, the inner ring is for adjusting the pressure floor, and the outer ring is for adjusting the ceiling.

The pressure adjusting way of the quarter inverter: Press “set” botton, then “F0.00” will show up, press “﹤﹤” to light “F0.00”, press △▽ to make  “F8.00” show up. Then press ﹤﹤to blink F8.00, and press △▽ to make  “F8.02” show up. This value is the pressure setting parameter. Press SET button to make the current pressure value show up. And use the  △▽ button to adjust the pressure botton to what you want it to be. Press SET to save and ESC to return. After that, the frequency and current value will be showed on the operation panel.

The pressure adjusting way of the Rexroth inverter: Press ENTER, and then use the  △▽ buttons. △ for higher pressure, ▽ for lower. After setting the parameters, use ENTER to save, Mode to return. After that, the frequency and current value will be showed on the operation panel.

The pressure adjusting way of Sunye inverter: Press MODE, and P01-00 will show on the operation panel. Use JOD to make P01-00 blink. Press △▽ to make P05-00 show up. Press JOG to blink P05-00. Likewise, press  △▽ to make P05-03 show up. This value is the pressure setting parameter. Use ENTER to make the current pressure value show up, use And use the  △▽ button to adjust the pressure botton to what you want it to be. Use the confirm button to save and MODE to return. After that, the frequency and current value will be showed on the operation panel.

The pressure adjusting way of FengGuang Converter: Use the  △▽ buttons. △ for higher pressure, ▽ for lower.

2)   The time switch setting of the microcomputer:

                             i.        Press “cancel/restore” botton for 4 times to disable the keyboard lock function.

                            ii.        Press “timer”, “1 ON” will be showed on the bottom left of LCD (That means the needed time for the first start-up). Use the function button for correcting the time. Enter the start-up time required. And then press “timer”. “1 OFF” will be showed on the bottom left of LCD (That means the needed time for the first shut-down). Adjusting the shut-down time in the same way mentioned above.

                           iii.        Keep pressing “timer”, “2 ON, 2 OFF…8 ON, 8 OFF” will be showed on the bottom left of LCD in order. Adjusting those timing in the same way mentioned above.

                          iv.        If it will only be turned on/off for once in a day, then you have to use “cancel/restore” to wipe off other time setting. Making sure the “---: ---” will be showed on the LCD.

                           v.        After finishing the settingm you should use “clock”, making sure the current time is showed on the LCD.

                          vi.        Use “auto/manual” button to turn on/off the circuit directly. If you want this to happen automatically, you should press this button to make sure that the arrow below the LCD points to “off”, and then the arrow ponys yo “auto”. After these, the timer switch will be able to work automatically according to the time setted.
